FLIGHTS: Transatlantic flights are with SAS, Scandinavian Airlines System in economy class.
MEALS: Full breakfasts are included daily. Lunches and/or dinners are included only where specifically listed as included..
PASSPORTS: A valid passport is required by all US citizens traveling to any of the Nordic/Scandinavian countries.
BAGGAGE: At owner’s risk. On transatlantic flights with SAS, the baggage allowance per person is up to two suitcases, with a maximum combined size (length+with+height) of 62 inches and not exceeding 23kg/50lb each applies. One carry-on bag is also permitted on board the aircraft, max. 18 lbs.(NOTE!! check with SAS for any changes to above rules)
TOUR COST: Where quoted in US dollars, the amount is based on the exchange rate in effect on August 21, 2007 and may be subject to change if exchange rates fluctuate. .
VALIDITY: These terms valid through April 30, 2008.
DEPOSITS: A deposit of 25% (minimum $150 per person) is required at the time of confirmation. The reservations may be released should SCANAM not receive the deposit within ten (10) days of confirmation.
FINAL PAYMENT: Final payment is due no later than 60 days prior to departure. Failure to comply with this requirement may result in automatic cancellation of the reservation and forfeiture of deposit.
REVISIONS/CANCELLATIONS: Forfeiture of applicable deposits/payments applies to all revisions/cancellations received more than 60 days prior to departure. Between 60 and 31 days prior to departure the fee is 50% (min $250.00 pp). From 30 days to15 days, 75% (min $400.00 pp) plus any additional charges levied by suppliers. From 14 - 0 days prior to departure, no refunds.
TRAVEL INSURANCE/CANCELLATION FEE WAIVER: SCANAM offers both and highly recommend purchasing these due to high change/cancellation fees. Ask for detailed information.
AIRLINE TICKETS: Air tickets issued in connection with the tours included in the brochure are non-refundable.
RESPONSIBILITY: SCANAM, its general agents and local agents give notice that all tickets and coupons issued by them and all arrangements for transport and conveyance, or for hotel accommodations, are made by them as agents only on the expressed condition that they shall not be liable for any injury, damage, loss, accident, delay or irregularity which may be occasioned either by reason of any defect in any vehicle, or through the acts or default of proprietor or servant. The operators and/or associated companies accept no responsibility for losses or additional expenses due to delays or changes in train, steamer, or other services, sickness, weather, epedemics, quarantine, strikes, Acts of God, or other causes. All tour itineraries may be affected by alterations in steamship, air, or railroad services of the various countries or by other causes. The rights are reserved to cancel a not guaranteed tour prior to departure. In such cases, full refund of all payments will constitute full settlement with the passenger.
AIRLINE CLAUSE: The airlines concerned are not to be held responsible for any act, omission, or event during the time the passengers are not aboard their aircraft. The passenger tickets in use by the airline, when issued, shall constitute the sole contract between the airline and the purchaser of these tickets and/or passenger.
CRUISES: Cabins with private facilities are provided for cruises.
VISAS: Visas are required for U.S. citizens in order to visit Russia.
NOTE! Clients are resposible for any/all loss or damages resulting from improper passports, visa or other personal documents.
