Day 1: Thursday - Baltimore/BWI to Greenland/Ilulissat
Depart on Air Greenland scheduled for 10:00am for 5 hour flight to Kangerlussuaq, Greenland. Meal service onboard. Scheduled arrival at 5:00pm. A quick connection to a short 45 minute scenic flight to Ilulissat, your first destination. Ilulissat - Town of Icebergs - is a modern town with 4000 inhabitants. Upon arrival you will be meet by your local Tour Escort for a transfer to your hotel. You will stay here for the next three nights. After check-in you will have a Welcome Dinner and orientation meeting.
Overnight at Hotel Arctic & Welcome dinner.

Day 2: Friday - Ilulissat
Breakfast at hotel.
After breakfast you will have a guided walking tour of Ilulissat and to a former Inuite settlement. Your Escort will assist with optional tours, restaurant bookings or tour suggestions you can do on your own. Rest of day free for optional excursions.
Overnight at Hotel Arctic.

Day 3: Saturday - llulissat
Breakfast at hotel.
Full day at leisure for optional tours.
Overnight at Hotel Arctic.

Day 4: Sunday - Ilulissat to Nuuk via 2 night cruise
Breakfast at hotel followed by a transfer to the harbor. Here you will embark the coastal ferry Sarfaq Ittuk, for a 2 day/2 night coastal sailing to Nuuk, the capital city of Greenland. Accommodations are in outside cabins with private facilities. Your south-bound cruise will take you past icebergs in the Disko Bay and you will make short stops in Aasiatt and Maniitsoq, Sunday and Monday. Full board is included on cruise.
Overnight on Sarfaq Ittuk Ferry.

Day 5: Monday - Cruise
Full day cruising with your fellow passengers. In Sisimiut you will have time for a short tour of town with your escort.

Day 6: Tuesday - Nuuk
Breakfast on ferry before disembarkation in Nuuk in the morning.
Nuuk is the capital of Greenland and with its population of 13.500 it is the largest city in Greenland. Transfer to your hotel. In the afternoon your escort will take you on a walking tour of Nuuk. Rest of day free on own.
Overnight and dinner at Hotel Hans Egede.

Day 7: Wednesday - Nuuk
After breakfast you will have your last chance to join one of the tours that you may have heard some of your fellow travelers rave about, or do some last minute shopping. Note! The U.S. has severe penalties for importing artifact made of ivory and fur from local mammals. Make sure you check with your guide or local tourist office regarding restrictions.
For dinner consult with your escort for recommendations as to one of the several excellent area restaurantsl.
Overnight at Hotel Hans Egede.

Day 8: Thursday - Nuuk to Baltimore/BWI Airport via Kangerlussuaq
Early breakfast at hotel followed by transfer to the airport. Time to say goodbye to your escort. You will then return to Kangerlussuaq for your connecting flight back to the U.S.
Scheduled departure from Kangerlussuaq at 6:30pm and return to Baltimore at 9:30pm.

Hotel Arctic:
The welcoming four-star Hotel Arctic is set in lovely surroundings with a magnificent view of the town and the fjord with its impressive icebergs. Situated just outside of the town and 1 mile from the airport, the hotel bus shuttles regularly between the hotel and the town. The relaxed, yet professional, atmosphere makes a stay here pleasant and rewarding. The hotel has been awarded the Green Key Award in recognition of its environmentally friendly management. Most of the 43 standard double rooms have a view of the sea and the icebergs. All standard rooms are equipped with TV and radio, free video movies of your choice, phone and hairdryer. Some rooms are non-smoking. Double rooms have two single beds

Hotel Hans Egede:
In the centre of Nuuk, centrally located with access to all of the town's facilities and sights-of-interest, is four-star Hotel Hans Egede. Friendly, professional service is a distinctive feature of Hotel Hans Egede ensuring that your stay is as pleasant one. The restaurant is located at the top of the hotel. From here, guests can enjoy world-class food and impressive view of the town and fjord in peace and quiet. The varying menu offers both Greenlandic specialties as well as a good steak. All rooms are fitted with the following facilities: TV, radio, telephone with internet socket and non-smoking rooms are available on request.


NOTE!! Arctic weather conditions and limited capacity in Greenland may cause traffic delays resulting in interruptions, limitations or changes in the itinerary. This may result in extra expenses to cover meals, hotel accommodation and/or transportation not foreseen in the programmes. Such expenses have to be paid directly by passengers themselves. The tour operator cannot accept any responsibility, economic or otherwise for such changes.
Also note that optional tours can be cancelled or changed due to local conditions without
prior notice.
Mosquitoes are prevelant in July and August and you are advised to bring repellants, proper clothing and/or medicine in case of allergies.
