Alta Igloo Tour & North Cape Excursion
This trip also brings you to the Northern part of Norway above the Arctic Circle. The lively town of Alta is your starting point followed by a vist to the North Cape and a return to Alta for an overnight stay at the Alta Igloo Hotel. In between you might experience the northern light.

Duration: 3 nights, 4 days
Minimum: 1 person

Activities and cancellation: The activity suppliers may cancel excursions due to
weather conditions and safety of the clients. Excursions will be cancelled if the
temperature is below -30 degrees Celsius. If the supplier offers an alternative activity and the client agrees to join there will be no refund for the cancelled activities.
Clothing: Warm and leisure clothing. Wool underwear, warm sweater of fleece, good and warm shoes, hat and gloves, scarf, pants and jacket.

DAY 01: ARRIVAL ALTA
Arrival Alta Airport. (Air on own or call us for a quote on SAS)
Transfer to Rica Hotel Alta by shuttle bus must be booked in advance (see the pricelist for the additional price), 5 minutes transport.
Check in at Rice Hotel Alta. The hotel has 155 rooms and is centrally located in Alta near the shopping area and restaurants. www.rica.no.
Rest of day free to explore Alta and have dinner on own.
Overnight at RICA Hotel Alta.

DAY 02: ALTA - HONNINGSVÅG
Breakfast at hotel.

Optional activity in the morning:
Dog sledge trip in the land of the elk.
Time: 11:00am - 1:30pm (see the pricelist below).

Bus Alta -- Honningsvåg
Scheduled FFR bus from Rica Hotel Alta (via Alta Airport) to Rica Hotel Honningsvåg.
Departure times:
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday at 2:20pm, arrival at 6:20pm
Friday and Sunday at 3:00pm, arrival at 7:05pm
Check-in at Rica Hotel Honningsvåg. In the evening we recommend a visit to the local brewery “Bryggeriet” in the center of town, a 1 minute walk from your hotel.
Overnight at Rica Hotel Honningsvåg.

DAY 03: NORTH CAPE - ALTA IGLOO HOTEL
Breakfast at the hotel.

Optional activity in the morning: Guided tour in the fishing village with a
kick sled at 10:00am — 11:30am. (See the pricelist below).

North Cape Excursion
Check-out from the hotel, remember to bring the luggage with you.
11:45am, pick up by the North Cape coach at the hotel.
12:00pm. North Cape Excursion.  12:40pm arrival North Cape. Enjoy the view!
The North Cape Hall offers a film presenting the North Cape’s 4 seasons, a souvenir shop and the coffeehouse is open serving snacks and warm drinks. Champagne and certificate is included for adults.
2:00pm, return from North Cape to Honningsvåg.

With reservation, due to weather conditions the North Cape convoy may be cancelled.

Return to Honningsvåg to embark the FFR bus to Alta at 3.20pm. Arrival time in Alta is at 7.15pm.
7:30pm, transfer to Alta Igloo Hotel.
Check-in and time to see the ice hotel. Afterwards we recommend to enjoy the sauna and relax in the living room before dinner in the restaurant.

DAY 04: DEPARTURE ALTA
Breakfast at the hotel.

Optional: 10:00am Daily Snowmobile safari incl. Lunch, from Alta Igloo Hotel. Return to Alta Igloo Hotel around 1:00pm. (See the pricelist below)

10:15am or 1:15pm, departure with the Winter-Express coach to the airport.
Return to your homeward destination on your own.

Total price in USD per person for the package as specified in this program:
Per person in double room: $1325,-
Per person in single room: $1560,-
Children (4 - 12 years in parents’ room): $680,-
Children (12 - 16 years in parents’ room): $955,-

Prices per person for optional activities in USD:

1. Transfer from airport to Rica Hotel Alta.
Shuttle bus: $22,- one way. Must be prebooked.

2. Dog sled safari in Alta
2 hours $260,-
$130,- Children under 12 years
Incl. transfer to/from Alta, thermal suit, shoes, mittens and hat.
Serving coffee/tea and a snack.

Additional information:
Optional activities may be bought on arrival at the hotel reception and at gross prices by 3:00pm the day before the activity.
FFR is the bus company who runs the regular buses in Finnmark. There is one change of bus on the way to Honningsvåg. The bus driver will give information in English.
Please notice that there may be some changes for the Easter holiday concerning departure for buses and activities.
